In summary, there are several cost-effective solutions for maximizing flooring area, including using large format tiles or planks, choosing lighter colors, opting for vinyl or laminate flooring, and selecting materials with a longer lifespan. To make a small room look larger, you can also consider installing flooring in a diagonal pattern and using the same flooring throughout the entire area. Vinyl and laminate flooring are particularly cost-effective options. Some common mistakes to avoid are choosing dark or busy flooring materials and not considering the layout and size of the room. However, it is possible to maximize flooring area without sacrificing style by using light-colored flooring, choosing materials with longer lifespans, and adding decorative elements.
