The red button means "Close this window". Some programs used to live in one window and quit when you close it. Most don't do that. For quitting, the most reliable thing is command q. (The square flower is command.) The yellow button means "hide the window in the dock".
Forget that Apple...
That is ironic! The Castro regime both shut down the color broadcasts, and drove out the people who had set them up.
Inverted colors is an easy flaw in NTSC, because the hue is determined by measuring the phase relationship between a wave off screen (in the sync pulse), and another on screen...
Well this is really a question about what real life laboratories can do today. There is a huge list of things that nature can do, but we can't yet. That is why I specified that the lab does not have seeds or DNA samples.
If you had an unlimited supply of periodic elements (in their most stable form), an advanced lab, and internet access, but could not access things like seeds or actual samples of DNA, could you make food?
I know salt and water would be easy to make. But what about sugar, proten, and vitamins...
I know about this from photography. The color temperature of a light source tells you the black body temperature where the light was created. It has nothing to do with how much power the light itself has where you are. (LED lamps aren't black body, so ignore them for this discussion.)

I guess I don't fear AI art because I never made money on art in the first place. I do it for fun, and forum games. I get the impression that many people are attracted to art as a career because they think it looks easy: They are taught that all they have to do is "express themselves". Then...
God I wish that Europe or someone would grow a spine and standardize on Open Source software. Copyrights, patents, and contracts are all products of government, so if software companies can do anything they want without regard to fairness, then governments should respond in kind.
Am I correct in understanding that these new thorium designs don't use water for anything? No cooling ponds? Or is there still (non-radioactive?) water going through the turbine?
Don't worry, I understood. But you were advocating in a way that could backfire, and offend people you need to persuade. Even if we don't agree, I think we both want conclusions based on understanding of the real issues.
